Bibi's bringing Bombs to NYC. Only you can stop it.
He came, spoke at the UN, and flew home. The cargo terminals at JFK are still shipping weapons to Israel on the record, and stopping it starts with joining the campaign below.
Netanyahu spoke in New York and flew home. JFK is still shipping weapons to Israel.
This page stays up as the record of his visit, and the campaign to stop the shipments continues. The record is below, along with what to do now.

- UN General Assembly The 81st session opens Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
- General debate Heads of state and government speak Tuesday, September 22 through Saturday, September 26, and on Monday, September 28, 2026 (UN provisional schedule).
- Arrival Reported to have arrived Thursday morning, September 24, at a military airfield in New Jersey or at Newark Liberty International Airport, not JFK.

The protests while Netanyahu was in New York
Last year, on the Friday he spoke, thousands marched from Times Square toward the UN (Democracy Now!, Al Jazeera, Sept 26, 2025). Dozens of delegations walked out of the hall as he took the podium (NBC News, Sept 26, 2025); 77 countries and delegations boycotted the address (ynet, Sept 1, 2026).
The weapons leave from JFK
When Netanyahu flew in for last year's General Assembly, his government plane landed at JFK after a 13-hour detour around European countries that are members of the International Criminal Court (ABC News). The cargo terminals at the same airport are a documented link in the arms pipeline to Israel.
In May 2025, The Intercept reported a Challenge Airlines flight out of JFK carrying 14 tons of nitrocellulose explosive, the largest single explosives shipment recorded through the airport, consigned to IMI Systems, a weapons maker owned by Elbit Systems. Between July 2 and July 23, 2025, Mondoweiss verified at least six arms shipments from JFK to Israel, including a Lockheed Martin BRU-68 bomb-release unit, the part that lets an F-35 drop 2,000-pound bombs, flown to Nevatim Air Base.
He flew in to speak at the UN. While he was in the city, the weapons his military uses kept flying out of the cargo terminals at JFK. That is the connection, and it is documented: the shipments, the companies that handle them, and the paper trail they move on.
Questions people are asking
Will Netanyahu be arrested in New York? Can the mayor arrest him?
No. The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu on November 21, 2024 (UN News). The United States is not a member of the court and has no obligation to carry out the warrant. Mayor Mamdani said on July 22, 2026 that his administration has no independent authority to execute it, and he called on the federal government to act (City & State). President Trump said on July 20 that Netanyahu "will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form, while in the United States of America" (Forbes). So he will land, speak and fly home. The weapons keep leaving JFK unless the people who work and live next to the runway stop them. That is what we organize for.
When did Netanyahu speak at the UN in 2026?
Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
How does the UN decide when he speaks?
The UN opens the speakers list at the end of May, sends member states a provisional list before the debate and revises it as requests change; this year's revised list was issued on September 4. Brazil speaks first and the United States second as the host country; for everyone else the order is based on the level of representation, preference and other criteria such as geographic balance (UN general debate FAQ). Israel asked in July to move from the end of the week to Thursday so the delegation could be home before Sukkot, which begins Friday, September 25 at sundown, and the change was approved (ynet, July 3; Hebcal).
Does Netanyahu land at JFK?
Not this year. His plane will avoid JFK (ynet, Sept 15; The New Arab, Sept 16) and is expected to land on Thursday morning at a military airfield in New Jersey or at Newark Liberty International Airport (ynet, Sept 21). In 2025 he did land at JFK, after a 13-hour route that avoided the airspace of European countries that are members of the International Criminal Court (ABC News, Sept 25, 2025). The cargo terminals at the same airport are a documented link in the arms pipeline to Israel, and that is the connection this page is about: the JFK campaign page.
What happened at his 2025 UN speech?
He spoke on Friday, September 26, 2025. Dozens of delegations walked out of the hall as he took the podium (NBC News); 77 countries and delegations boycotted the address (ynet, Sept 1, 2026). Thousands marched from Times Square toward the UN the same day (Democracy Now!; Al Jazeera). What happened on September 24, 2026 is recorded above.
Why Thursday and not later in the week?
Sukkot begins Friday, September 25 at sundown (Hebcal). Israel asked the UN to move its slot from the end of the week to Thursday so the delegation could fly home in time, and the UN agreed (ynet, July 3). He was expected to leave Thursday night (ynet, Sept 1).
Where is he staying, and what about security?
He is not expected to stay the night: he lands Thursday morning and flies home that evening (ynet, Sept 21). Israeli reporting in July said the Regency, his hotel in recent years, was dropped after a security failure was found during his last visit (ynet, July 3). The US Secret Service is unusually involved in protecting him (The Jerusalem Post, Sept 16) and is expected to stay with him from landing to departure (ynet, Sept 15). NYPD sources describe a heavy operation with 60 or more officers on the detail (The Jerusalem Post, Aug 8). We do not publish what has not been reported.
When is the UN General Assembly, and which streets close?
The 81st session opens Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The general debate, where heads of state and government speak, runs Tuesday, September 22 through Saturday, September 26 and on Monday, September 28, in the General Assembly Hall at UN Headquarters, First Avenue at 46th Street in Midtown Manhattan (United Nations). Street closures around the headquarters district are announced by the city ahead of the week; we will link the 2026 notice here when it is posted.

Who we are
Break the Chain is a people's arms embargo campaign run by the NYC Democratic Socialists of America's Anti-War Working Group. We document the companies that move weapons and military components through the New York and New Jersey region in a public, sourced database, organize the workers and neighbors who can stop the shipments, and press unions, elected officials, and the Port Authority for an embargo. A coalition of unions and community organizations has endorsed the campaign, and union resolutions are on the record. Our organizing is open to anyone in the city.

The shipments did not stop. Neither do we.
The people who can stop the weapons are the people who live and work next to the runway. That is us. Join, and bring someone.
